Class Locations and Schedules

ESL, ABE & Civics Classes

The school year is divided into the following four cycles: summer (July to September), fall (October to December), winter (January to March), and spring (April to June). The ESL, ABE, and Civics classes meet Monday through Friday from 9 to 12:30 in the morning, 1:30-5:00 in the afternoon, and 5:30 to 9:00 in the evening. There are no classes on the weekend.

To be eligible for any of these classes, an applicant must be at least 16 and not enrolled or required to be enrolled in secondary school under state law.

The school year begins in July of each year and continues through August of the following year.  The Even Start classes meet Monday through Thursday from 8:30 to 11:30 in the morning and 12:30 to 4:30 in the afternoon. There are no classes in the evenings, on Fridays, or during the weekend.

To be eligible for these classes, an applicant must be at or below the poverty level and be the parent or guardian of a child who is between zero and seven years of age.
