CPR Workshop - Participants learned life saving skills that allowed them to be CPR certified.  Neighborhood EMT representatives came to teach the students CPR.

Talent Show - Our annual talent show/spelling bee held at the Dutch reform church exhibits the culture of our students.  There is food, fun, drama and a variety of displayed talent.  our talent show is traditionally held in the spring.

Brooklyn Public Library Trip - Every year a class goes to the BPL to encounter the wonderful sights and floral displays.  Students then return to write about their experience and are encouraged to return with family members.

Our Annual Valentine's Day Celebration - Celebrate the love for literacy with us as we locate Mr. and Mrs. Valentine every February.  Poems are written and shared at this event.  Music echoes through the halls of the Adult Literacy Center, but most of all the students really get to express their culture through the language of love.

Annual Employment Expo - Every year recruiters and students gather at the Dutch reform church in order to meet and greet.  Neighborhood employers speak to students to find out how they can work together.
